Yesterday, Jacob and I spent the day with friends. What a nice day it was. The sun was shining and a cool breeze was blowing. We took the kids for some lunch at Chik-fil-a and let them play in their play area for a while (this is the only restaurant that has a play area anywhere near where we live, plus they offer healthier options...you know, healthier than fries!). Following lunch, we brought the kids to the nearby duck pond. Jacob and I frequent this pond, and the ducks are always in abundance, waiting to hiss (yes, they hiss) at you for bread. On this day though, the ducks were all spread out around the entirety of the pond, not so interested in the bread. Figures. I am thinking it is because it is spring break week, so the ducks have had a bit more bread than their usual from all of the visitors to the pond this week.
After feeding, er....throwing the bread at the ducks, we took a stroll on the track around the pond. Their are stretch stations every so often, and the kids thought that they would stop and 'exercise' at each one. They had great fun, and us mom's had a chance to catch up. Praise Jesus for a fun day with friends.
Just like mom, loving the icecream...
Throw that bread boy, use your arm..
Already a smoothe talker.....
Connor, Brooke, Jacob and Lauren. Just hanging out at the park...
